The Salem Jazz and Soul Festival is an all volunteer organization, and we could not produce our
events without your help.

We're always looking for volunteers to help with event production and behind the scenes
projects.  If you're interested in participating, we'd love to hear from you.  There are a number of
ways to help.

  • As a volunteer addressing special projects year-round (example: marketing/promotion,
event planning, volunteer coordination, accounting, etc.).

  • Help us set up events and/or sell merchandise during our early summer series at Derby
Square, a monthly performance beginning in May and running every Second Saturday until
    August.

  • Become a Festival Weekend volunteer - so much goes into staging our "main event" - we
need help of all kinds!  Volunteer assignments on Saturday and Sunday include
    construction/set-up, production/stage runners, signage posting, VIP registration/check-in,
volunteer coordination, kids tent volunteers, music education and more.

Here are some roles we're trying to fill that require volunteer time throughout the year.  Click on a

And here are some roles related to the events we'll stage on 4/2, 4/9, 5/14, 6/11, 7/9, and 8/13,
but mostly for our main festival event on 8/20 and 8/21.

If you're interested in helping the festival, please send a cover letter and resume (or few lines
about your professional background if you don't have a resume put together.  Send inquiries to

Thanks for your support!
