Spreading their gospel of spontaneous creativity
and rampant self-expression, ENSMB brings a
passion and playfulness to the stage that
challenges audiences to not just sit and watch
the world around them, but instead rise up and
join the show of life, in all its wondrous variety.
With their festive and frolicking vibe, you better
believe that ENSMB & the Madcap Rumpus
Society will have you not just dancing, but
oohing and aahing over the musical and
acrobatic feats you'll witness, and maybe even
wishing that you too could run away and join the
circus.
With a special performance by the
Boston Circus Guild.

MISS TESS AND THE BON TON
PARADE
 website
Similar to artists such at Tom Waits, Randy
Newman, Madeleine Peyroux, or Dan Hicks and
His Hot Licks, Miss Tess draws inspiration from
older styles of music, and uses those sounds in
the service of her own personality. Her latest
album makes use of varied instrumentation
including country-tinged pedal steel, a three part
horn section, barroom piano, and a lonesome
banjo. Her music is interspersed with up-tempo
playful ditties, mournful love songs, and offbeat
charmers.  Critics have had a hard time
assigning Tess’s music to a specific genre; in
2008 she won a Boston Music Award for
"Outstanding Folk Artist of the Year", yet in 2009
she received a nomination for "Best Jazz Act".

DOPAPOD  website
Since its inception in 2007, Dopapod has grown
from an eclectic organ drum duo to a five piece
funk-jam sensation, adding guitarist Rob
Compa, bassist Chuck Jones, and
percussionist Neal “Fro” Evans. Dopapod’s
debut album, “Radar” has received critical
acclaim from national publications such as
Performer Magazine, calling Dopapod’s
members “incredibly talented musicians”, and
that the band has “set the bar respectfully high
for their first full length recording”. Dopapod has
shared the stage with many great bands and
musicians such as Sam Kininger (Soulive,
Lettuce) Biodeisel (Johnny Rabb) Dave Grippo
(Phish, Trey Anastasio) Timo Shanko (G-Love n
Special Sauce) Dana Colley (Morphine) Mr.
Rourke (Club D'elf) and more. Dopapod has big
plans for 2010, including a new album, and
more east coast tours in the works.

TRICK BAG  website
This group consists of four unique individuals,
each bringing his own distinct interpretation of
the New Orleans-style of funk makes up the
band’s sound to the table. They put a spin on
classics by the Meters and other staples of the
New Orleans sound, and add a peppering of
original songs that take that kind of feel-good,
tight-yet-loose grooves to new places.  The
influences are many:  some jazz over here…
some African influence over there… a little Miles
Davis mixed with some Stevie Wonder… a little
bit of Maceo Parker sitting in with Sly & The
Family Stone added to the mix.  They’ve enjoyed
sharing the stage with acts like Chubby Checker
and Frankie Avalon, and have performed on-
and off-Broadway as well.

ERIC REARDON & GLOBAL STEW  website
“… a very inventive player, way beyond his years
in terms of being able to just jam and go with it.
His solos are seamless.  He's got really great
ears, not only for someone his age, but for
anyone." – James Montgomery

DENNIS BRENNAN  website
Boston has a music legacy that needs no
introduction. Think of the J. Geils Band,
Morphine, and Willie Alexander for starters. At
the heart of the scene, though, is an artist like
Dennis Brennan. He's a cagey veteran who
hasn't won similar fame but can electrify
audiences with his ability to cross brilliantly from
rock to soul, blues, country, and jazz, while
breathing fresh life into each. On several nights
a week, Brennan bops around New England
clubs with a passion that is all too rare in today's
homogenized music climate.
